Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Scuba Exams (the "Service", "we", "us"). By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Scuba Exams provides original practice exams and study tools for scuba certification candidates. The Service is a study aid only. It is not an official certification exam and does not grant any certification.

2. Not affiliated with PADI

Scuba Exams is an independent study resource. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by PADI or any other certification agency. All questions are original works covering publicly known dive theory. Trademarks referenced for descriptive purposes remain the property of their owners.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

4. Geographic restrictions

The Service is not offered to, and may not be used from or within, any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions or trade restrictions — including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions. By subscribing you represent that you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or accessing the Service from any such region. We may decline or refund any transaction, and suspend any account, that we identify as originating from a restricted region.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid courses are sold as recurring monthly subscriptions billed through Stripe at the price shown at checkout. Pricing may vary by course and may change over time; the price you see at checkout is the price you pay, and existing subscribers keep their rate unless we tell them otherwise. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; access continues until the end of the current paid period. See our Refund Policy for details.

6. Acceptable use

You may not copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the question bank or any part of the Service, share your account, or attempt to circumvent access controls. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Accuracy and safety disclaimer

We work to keep content accurate, but the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Diving carries inherent risks. Always follow the training, standards, and supervision of your certifying agency and instructors. Do not rely on the Service as a substitute for proper training.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scuba Exams is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
