Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Scuba Exams ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Service.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and, if you provide it, your name.
- Usage data — your exam attempts, scores, and answer history, used to power your dashboard and the spaced-repetition study features.
- Payment information — subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive a subscription identifier and status from Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
- Site analytics — we record page views and basic events so we can see which courses and pages people find useful. Alongside each event we store an approximate location derived from your IP address (country, and where available region, city and approximate city-level coordinates, which we use to plot a visitor map), and a coarse browser, operating-system and device type. We also store two randomly generated identifiers kept in your own browser — one per tab visit and one per browser — so we can count unique and returning visitors. We do not store your IP address, and we use no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and improve the Service, deliver your practice exams and progress tracking, process subscriptions, and contact you about your account.
3. Service providers
We rely on third-party providers to run the Service, including providers for authentication and database hosting, web hosting, and Stripe for payment processing. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
4. Cookies and sessions
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and study data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at support@scubaexams.com.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
